Cheesy Treats for Picky Little Eaters:

A #ParentingNerd Food Pairing Idea

By XOXO Mrs Martinez

My daughter is turning two in two months. She is starting to learn a lot of things like recognizing some of the letters of the alphabet, counting from one to three, the difference between big and small, playing with shape sorters. She can now even construct up to four words in one sentence!

She is doing great but not where food is concerned. Lately, I noticed that she has become a picky little eater. She does not want to eat fruits especially mangoes.

Did I mention that one of her first words was "NO"? And let me tell you that she uses that word a lot these days. She even closes her mouth or uses both her hands to hide her face to relay that she really does not want to eat.

She is not sick but I noticed that she is teething. It might be one of the reasons why she has lost her appetite. Anyway, I devised a plan so that she can eat tasty and nutritious food one bite at a time.

Being a parenting nerd, I know she likes cheese but would not recognize it when she sees it. I put a little cheese on my finger and let her taste it. Once she says "aprub" and makes her own version of thumbs up sign, I will spread it on one of the animal crackers. Sometimes, I let her choose and alternate it with peanut butter spread. The best thing is that I can teach her to identify the animals while she enjoys her meal.

How to make Cheese Animal Crackers:

Plateful of animal crackers
Cheese or peanut butter

Tadaaah! Yummy Cheesy Animal Crackers! Eating these crackers is perfect when I pair it with one of my recent discoveries while doing some grocery shopping – Cerelac Wheat & Mango-Orange with Yogurt.

Earlier, I mentioned how she dislikes mango, right? Surprisingly, she likes this flavor so much so that when I let her taste a spoonful, she readily gave her thumbs up sign.

Cerelac Wheat & Mango-Orange with Yogurt is so easy to prepare. Make sure that you wash your hands before preparing your child's food. The utensils should be thoroughly cleaned.

•       Boil clean drinking water for 5 minutes. Allow to cool.
•       Measure 150mL and pour lukewarm water into child's bowl
•       Add 50 grams or 5 level tablespoons of Cerelac
•       Stir until the cereal is smooth and feed immediately using a clean spoon

Please take note of the following:

•       Do not keep unfinished portion
•       Close the pack tightly after each use
•       Store it in a cool dry place
•       Use before the expiration date indicated on the top of the pack

I am so happy that my little love is finally getting the nutrients she needs to grow taller and wiser because one meal of Cerelac with Yogurt has Triple Goodness! It has fortified cereals, delicious yogurt, and probiotics!

Mommies, try this simple Cheesy Animal Cracker trick at home, I am sure your little one will like it too. If you can share your own tricks, kindly leave me a message in the comment section below.
